God Says Fear Not

Isaiah chapter 43 begins with the following important words,

"But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine."

In the above text can be found indicators on who you really are and your intrinsic relationship with God. Are you confused about your origin? Do you doubt your own physical existence accepting meaningless scientific assumptions put forth on human origin?

Turning to the Holy Bible for answers to many such questions all doubts dissipate and basic truths about the human existence, purpose and goals begin to unfold.

The following basic truths are available in Isaiah 43:1:

(1) There is a Great Creator in this Universe. He is known as God.

(2) God is the sole originator and creator responsible for the existence of life in all realms.

(3) God speaks. God hears. He knows you. He is concerned about the affairs of the human race. He mentions the name of Jacob. He identified Jacob. He knew him as an individual. He knew him as a people. He knew his challenges. God knows who you are and what you may be experiencing. You are not hidden in the crowd away from God.

(4) God met Jacob where he was. Jacob was trepid from concerns about life and purpose. But God met him and dealt with his worries. God meets you where you are in your frustration and He will deal with your fears.

(5) God says "fear not." Have you ever entertained fear of any form of anything? Is something terrifying you at this moment? Maybe you are so much concerned about your future and it has tampered with your blood pressure. You are losing hope right now. You see no meaning for your life? God says "fear not." He calls you by name and says, 'don't be afraid' right now. He who has formed and created you says you need not fear.
The credentials of forming and creating imply authority and ability to protect and provide for that which has been formed. God speaks and never jokes with His utterances. He has spoken to you. He will surely protect you and guide you through into the path of the achievement of safety.

(6) The statement "I have redeemed you" implies the saving act of God already done for the benefit of man. Can you see it? God has already planned your salvation. He has provided the escape way. He has been there all along helping and saving you. God did not need your pleas to begin the process of providence. He already did it for you. You see it? Does it get clearer?

Who saved you from that deadly disease?
Who preserved your life in that fatal accident?
Who granted you that safe child delivery?
Who increased your chances of survival in that terrible situation? All before you ever knew Him? Even though you never regarded Him?
That was God saving you without you ever asking. He already redeemed you and continues to save you.

(7) God calls you by name and declares you are His. Listen, God knows your name. He knows your address. He has your phone number. He sees all your activities. He says you belong to Him. In spite of your weaknesses as human God loves you and you are His. He has not given up on you and won't yet. He is a gracious God loving and kind and needs you to know it. He calls you into saving relationship with Himself. He invites you to walk towards Him and all the stains of sin in your life will be erased.

Can you see that God created you? He knows your name and situation and tells you to put away your fears. He has redeemed you and calls you to accept His salvation because you belong to Him. Can you respond to His love and salvation?

Say this prayer in faith:
Lord God I realise you are my creator and you know my name and I accept your invitation to believe in you and cast away my fears. I accept your salvation and am willing to surrender my life to you to recognise your sovereignty and follow your direction. Help me O God I pray in Jesus name.
